@SenatorBoxer's Lies about WMD in Syria, Or Ignores ALL Other Evidence

How many lies can you find?

United States Senate
Dear XXXX:
Thank you for contacting me to express your opinion on the U.S. response to Syria's horrific use of chemical weapons.  I appreciate hearing from you about this threat, which we now have real reason to believe can be resolved diplomatically.
On August 21, the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad carried out a brutal sarin nerve gas attack, which took the lives of more than 1,000 innocent men, women and children.  It was a shocking violation of international law, the Geneva Protocol, and every basic standard of human decency and morality.
Because President Obama and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee refused to turn a blind eye to Syria's use of these illegal weapons, we now have a real, tangible agreement to help ensure that they are never used again.
Without ever having to resort to the use of military force, we have achieved a major goal – Syria has agreed to join the Chemical Weapons Convention, which will require the regime to disclose its chemical weapons stockpile so that it can be safely destroyed.
We must remain vigilant and strong to ensure that this agreement is carried out because these weapons, if not secured, pose a threat not only to the Middle East region, but to America and our allies.
Again, thank you for writing to me.  Please feel free to contact me again about this or any other issue of concern to you.

Sincerely,

Barbara Boxer
United States Senator
